Descripción
The initial construction of this hermitage dates from the 1520s, although it underwent important reforms during the 19th century, when it acquired the eclectic style that can be seen today on its façade, and in recent years for its maintenance. Inside there is an altarpiece from the 19th century.
The Hermitage of San Roque was the second element of reference in the growth of the city. Built in the 16th century, it has a gabled roof and the stone cutting decorates its main façade, which was rehabilitated in 1867 in an eclectic style with classical and Gothic elements in the belfry and central window respectively, lime and quarrying from Arucas, located in the cover, windows and attached boxed pilasters that end in pyramid-shaped perillon.
