The Hespérides Theatre - Ciudad de Guía Auditorium occupies the old Hespérides Cinema building, built in the 1930s and remodelled in 2011 with all the facilities and equipment that a modern theatre requires. This is the setting for a large and quality theatrical and musical offer, as well as other varied events.
This building was inaugurated for the first time as a cinema-theatre in 1934. In its spacious room, with magnificent acoustics, the films of the time were projected -some even premiere-, plays, musical revues, concerts and the occasional zarzuela was also performed on its stage, thus becoming a great cultural focus, not only for Guía, but for the entire region. In 2011, and after eight years of work, it was reopened, converted into a modern cultural venue with a capacity for 350 seats, multipurpose rooms and modern light and sound equipment.
